Terms of Use
Website: www.polgallagher.com Owner: Pol Gallagher ("we", "us", "our")
Last updated: Sept 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of this website and your purchase of any artwork prints sold through it. By placing an order or otherwise using this site, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before ordering.
1. About Us
This website is owned and operated by Pol Gallagher, an artist based in Donegal + London, UK. All artwork sold on this site is original work by Pol Gallagher.
2. The Artwork
All designs, images and artwork displayed on this site are original works by Pol Gallagher and remain his intellectual property (see Section 8, Copyright).
Each print is produced to order. Colours on screen may vary slightly from the finished print due to differences in monitor calibration and lighting.
3. Printing and Materials
Prints are produced on premium grade Hahnemühle artist paper.
Each print is individually mounted and backed by hand before dispatch.
Because each order is a bespoke print run, minor variations between individual prints of the same design may occur; this is a natural feature of fine art printing and not a fault.
4. Framing (Optional)
Framing is available as an optional add-on at checkout.
Where selected, frames are handcrafted by Pol Gallagher.
Framing is made to order and adds to the production time stated in Section 5.
Please check frame dimensions carefully before ordering, as bespoke frames cannot always be resized after production.
5. Production Time
Please allow up to 14 working days from order confirmation to dispatch. This allows time for the custom print run, mounting, backing, and (where selected) framing.
Working days exclude weekends and UK public holidays.
If a delay beyond 14 working days is expected (for example due to high demand or material availability), we will contact you with an updated estimate.
6. Packaging and Dispatch
All prints are packaged in rigid, non-bend packaging to protect the artwork in transit.
Framed pieces are packaged with additional protection appropriate to glass and frame materials.
Once dispatched, you will be notified [and, where available, provided with tracking details].
7. Postage and Delivery
Postage costs are paid by the buyer and will be shown at checkout before you complete your order.
Delivery times are in addition to the production time stated in Section 5, and depend on the shipping method selected and the courier's own timescales.
Risk in the artwork passes to you on delivery. We recommend being available to receive the parcel, or arranging safe delivery instructions, given the fragile nature of the contents.
If your artwork arrives damaged, please contact us within [7] days of delivery with photographs of the damage and packaging, so we can arrange a resolution.
8. Copyright and Intellectual Property
Copyright in all artwork, images and designs on this site belongs to Pol Gallagher.
Purchasing a print grants you ownership of the physical print only. It does not transfer copyright, and does not grant any right to reproduce, copy, scan, photograph for commercial use, or create derivative works from the artwork without prior written permission.
The artwork, and photographs of it, may not be used for commercial purposes without a separate licence agreement.
9. Pricing and Payment
All prices are shown in [GBP (£)
Payment is taken in full at the time of order via [payment provider(s)].
We reserve the right to correct pricing errors before an order is dispatched; if this happens, we will contact you before proceeding.
10. Cancellations and Returns
As each print is made to order, you may cancel your order for a full refund only before production has begun. Please contact us as soon as possible if you wish to cancel.
Once production has started, the bespoke nature of the print (and frame, where applicable) means we are unable to offer a refund, in line with UK consumer law on made-to-order goods, except where the item is faulty or damaged in transit (see Section 7).
This does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer protection law.
11. Limitation of Liability
We take care in the production, packaging and dispatch of every print, but our liability is limited to the value of the order.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control (including courier delays).
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the time you place an order will apply to that order.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
14. Contact
For any questions about these Terms, an order, or the artwork, please contact:

Shipping & Returns
Shipping
Production time Every print is made to order. Please allow up to 14 working days from order confirmation to dispatch, to allow time for the custom print run, mounting, backing, and (where selected) hand-crafted framing. This is a busy, hands-on process rather than an off-the-shelf despatch, so please order with this timeframe in mind for gifts or deadlines.
Packaging All prints are packed flat in rigid, non-bend packaging to protect the artwork in transit. Framed pieces receive additional protection appropriate to glass and frame edges.
Postage costs Postage is paid by the buyer and shown at checkout before you complete your order. [If applicable: Free shipping is offered on orders over £350.]
Tracking You will receive a dispatch confirmation [and tracking number, where available] once your order leaves the studio.
International orders If shipping outside the UK, please note that any customs duties, import taxes or handling fees charged on arrival are the buyer's responsibility and are not included in the postage cost. International delivery times vary by destination and carrier.
Delivery issues Once dispatched, delivery timescales are set by the courier and are separate from the 14 working day production time above. We're not responsible for delays caused by the courier or by customs processing, but we're always happy to help chase a delayed parcel.
Returns and Refunds
Because every print is produced to order, specifically for you, on premium Hahnemühle paper, individually mounted, backed, and, where selected, hand-framed, we generally aren't able to offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind. This is standard practice across bespoke and made-to-order art print businesses, and reflects the fact that materials and labour are committed to your specific order as soon as production begins.
You can still cancel for a full refund if you contact us before production has started. Once printing has begun, we're no longer able to cancel or amend the order.
Damaged or faulty items If your print or frame arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with:
your order number, and
photos of both the damage and the packaging it arrived in.
Once confirmed, we'll offer a replacement print (produced and posted at no extra cost) or a full refund, whichever you prefer. Please keep all packaging until the issue is resolved, in case it's needed for a courier claim.
Incorrect items If we've made an error, for example the wrong print or the wrong frame option, let us know within 7 days of delivery and we'll correct it at no cost to you, including return postage for the incorrect item.
What isn't covered
Change of mind once production has started
Minor variations in colour between screen and print (a natural result of different screens and lighting, not a fault)
Damage caused after delivery (e.g. improper hanging, exposure to moisture or direct sunlight)
This policy sits alongside, and doesn't affect, your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
